A Catholic education is a beautiful gift to give our children and families. Students are formed body, mind and soul to be the saints God is calling them to be. Families are enriched by the community of faithful disciples striving for holiness. Parents can rest assured that their children are being taught holistically and according to Christian values.

As with all good things, sending children to Catholic schools is an investment! The cost of tuition, uniforms and other school-related activities can be significant for families who prioritize Catholic education. But any family can tell you that a Catholic education is worthy of the investment.

We want to help your investment go further! Check out 8 ways to stretch your contributions and increase the affordability of Catholic education!

  1. Scholarships are available if your family qualifies, and the maximum income allowed to qualify may be higher than you think! Scholarships available in our Denver Catholic Schools include those offered through Seeds of Hope, ACE and the Schmitz Family Fund. Learn more here!

  2. Multiple child discounts are offered at many schools. Check with your local Catholic school to see if they offer a discount to families with multiple enrolled children!

  3. Variable Tuition might be an option at your local Catholic school. The Variable Tuition Program supports families in making a transformative Catholic education an affordable reality. The program meets more families where they are (financially) and provides an opportunity for schools and families, especially those who do not feel a Catholic education is financially feasible for their family, to have an informed discussion about tuition. Check with your school to see if they participate in this program!

  4. Uniform Swaps take place in many schools across the archdiocese. Buying lightly used uniforms instead of new ones can save hundreds of dollars.

  5. Payment plans might be an option at your school, too. Many schools allow families to spread the payments out over the course of the school year, instead of paying at the beginning of the school year.

  6. Reaching out for help is always an option. Consider asking family or close friends who may be able and willing to help support your children's education to join you in the investment.

  7. Talk to the school about other options that you may not know about. Your local Catholic school might have other programs or initiatives that help stretch your investment in Catholic education.

  8. Consider changing your lifestyle a bit. Get creative with your spending habits to see if there’s a little extra room in the budget to help support a Catholic education for your children. Look at extras you may be able to cut. Talk to cable companies, your cell phone company or other vendors to see if they have similar offerings at a lower rate. You may be surprised what some will do to keep your business! Take vacations closer to home or do ‘stay-cations’. Consider extra side income opportunities to supplement your budget.  Your child is worth these steps!

No matter the circumstances, a Catholic education is a worthy investment, a beautiful gift to give our children. Educated holistically, Catholic school students are formed to be faithful disciples of Jesus, growing in intellect and holiness.
