WATCH: 3 Questions with Sam Goodwin, a former Syrian prisoner turned Catholic speaker

Sam Goodwin is a world traveler, released Syrian prisoner, and Catholic man with a heart full of faith. Goodwin was captured by the Syrian government and held as a prisoner until his release was eventually granted through a serendipitous connection with a family friend.

On June 15, Sam gave a a talk at the annual SONrise charity breakfast in Denver supporting Catholic Charities and Marisol Health. We got the chance to ask Sam three questions about what he’s learned from his travels, and how his perspective has changed with his experiences.

For more information about the SONrise breakfast and for next years tickets, visit ccdenver.org/sonrise.
