Updated: 2 days ago

Father CJ Mast is the Chaplain at Bishop Machebeuf High School in Denver. This is his first year as Chaplain there, and he absolutely loves it! He says, “I just feel rejuvenated every time I go home. And every day, I wake up just excited to come into Machebeuf.”

Scheduling time for confessions was one challenge Father CJ faced at the beginning of the school year — and he solved it in an innovative way. Confession is a sacrament that can be daunting for most people, but especially for teenagers. However, for both teens and adults alike, if you haven’t been in a while, Advent is the perfect time to return. Father CJ invites you into the sacrament of confession by dispelling the top common fears surrounding it.
