Official Appointments: November 27, 2024

Here’s a list of all the newest clergy assignments for the Archdiocese of Denver, including the assignments of new parochial vicars and new transitional deacons studying at St. John Vianney Seminary in Denver. These appointments are in addition to the general assignments announced in August, the priest assignments announced in July and August, and the deacon assignments announced in August.


Parochial Vicar Assignments: 


Rev. DePorres Durham, O.P., was appointed Parochial Vicar at St. Dominic Parish in Denver, effective November 30, 2024, until his time in ministry here has ended. 


Rev. Karl Millis was appointed Parochial Vicar at St. Francis of Assis Parish in Longmont, effective October 1, 2024, ad nutum archiepiscopi. 


Rev. Jessfyr Alexander Picado Fuente was appointed Parochial Vicar at St. William Parish in Fort Lupton and Our Lady of Grace Mission Church in Wattenberg, effective immediately, ad nutum archiepiscopi. 


Other Assignments/Departures:


Rev. Miguel Enrique Alvarado Santos, C.R., departed Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Denver, on September 30, 2024, to the Diocese of Columbus, Ohio, for a Pastoral Assignment.  


Rev. Mauricio Bermudez departed St. Frances Cabrini Parish in Littleton, to serve as an Itinerant Missionary Priest for the Neocatechumenal Way in the Diocese of Las Cruces, New Mexico, effective immediately, until June 30, 2027. 


Rev. Richard Castro Huergo, M.C., was assigned Residence at the new Miles Christi Religious House in Denver, effective immediately, ad nutum archiepiscopi. He continues as Parochial Vicar at the Cathedral Basilica of Immaculate Conception Parish and in his ministry serving the students of the college and universities on the Auraria Campus in Denver.  


Rev. Robert J. Froeschl was granted Presbyteral Faculties of the Archdioceses of Denver and appointed for Mission and Ministry with the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS), effective June 1, 2024, until May 31, 2025. 


Rev. Andrew R. Kirschman, S.J., was granted Presbyteral Faculties of the Archdioceses of Denver and assigned residence at the Xavier Jesuit Center in Denver, where he will serve as Director of Novices, effective July 30, 2024, until his ministry here is complete.  


Rev. Martin Latiff, M.C., was assigned Residence at the new Miles Christi Religious House in Denver, effective immediately, ad nutum archiepiscopi. He remains the Superior of the Miles Christi Religious House and continues his ministry serving the students of the college and universities on the Auraria Campus in Denver. 


Rev. Hanh D. Pham, S.J., was granted Presbyteral Faculties of the Archdioceses of Denver and assigned residence at the Xavier Jesuit Center in Denver, where he will serve as Socius to the Director of Novices, effective July 30, 2024, until his time in ministry here is complete.  


Rev. Gonzalo Stephen Sanguinetti, M.C., was assigned Residence at the new Miles Christi Religious House in Denver, effective immediately, until his time in ministry here has ended. He will continue in his ministry which includes serving the students of the college and universities on the Auraria Campus in Denver.  


Rev. Rafael Solorio, O.M.V., departed Holy Ghost Parish in Denver, on October 25, 2024, to the Oblate Community in Hawaiian Gardens, California where he will serve at St. Peter Chanel Parish.  


Transitional Deacon Assignments


Rev. Mr. Aaron Alford was granted Diaconal Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver and was assigned to All Souls Parish in Englewood, effective August 17, 2024, until May 10, 2025. 


Rev. Mr. Dillon Armstrong was granted Diaconal Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver and was assigned to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Denver, effective August 17, 2024, until May 10, 2024. 


Rev. Mr. Jacob Chavez was granted Diaconal Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver and was assigned to Holy Trinity Parish in Westminster, effective August 17, 2024, until May 10, 2024. 


Rev. Mr. Connor Companik was granted Diaconal Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver and was assigned to St. Joseph Parish in Denver, effective August 17, 2024, until May 10, 2024. 


Rev. Mr. Kade Megafinn was granted Diaconal Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver and was assigned to St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Denver, effective August 17, 2024, until May 10, 2024. 


Rev. Mr. Jesse Oaks was granted Diaconal Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver and was assigned to Christ the King Parish in Denver, effective August 17, 2024, until May 10, 2024. 


Rev. Mr. Adam Urban was granted Diaconal Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver and was assigned to Good Shepherd Parish in Denver, effective August 17, 2024, until May 10, 2024. 


Other acts:


Rev. Gregory W. Bierbaum was granted Presbyteral Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver, effective immediately, until his time in ministry at St. Mark Parish in Highlands Ranch, has ended.  


Rev. Patrick G. DiLoreto was granted Presbyteral Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver, effective immediately, until his time in ministry at St. Mark Parish in Highlands Ranch, has ended. 


Rev. J. Daniel McElheron was incardinated into the Archdiocese of Denver on May 1, 2024. He will continue his assignment to deliverance ministry with the Society of the Most Sorrowful Mother in Keensburg, ad nutum archiepiscopi. 


Rev. Herman Joseph was incardinated into the Archdiocese of Denver on October 1, 2024. He will continue as Pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Akron, St. Mary Parish in Brush and St. John the Evangelist Mission Church in Stoneham, Colorado.  


Rev. Israel Perez-Lopez was incardinated into the Archdiocese of Denver on October 1, 2024. He will continue as Parochial Administrator of Presentation of Our Lady Parish in Denver.
